The Numb Bums Were Worth It!

Scotmin Nutrition Cheque Presentation

Scotmin Nutrition raise £1380 for two charities.

On Friday 1st June the team of 6 embarked on a gruelling 219km (136 mile) bike ride taking them from Scotmin Nutrition in Ayr to Caltech, Scotmin’s sister company in Silloth. The team set off with the ambitious task of completing the cycle within a single day, managing to complete the journey in 11 hours 44 minutes.

In the end the total raised amounted to £1,380 meaning £690 could be donated to each charity. Douglas Watson (Scotmin Nutrition, Sales Manager) commented. “It was a really tough cycle and although we mapped the route perfectly, we underestimated how tough the hills were going to be… The numb bums were worth it as in the end we are able to support two great charities that have strong links to the agri community”.
