Covid-19 (Coronavirus) UPDATE:

Scotmin Nutrition Coronavirus update

Coronavirus information:

Scotmin Nutrition is treating the spread of Coronavirus extremely seriously, with the health and well-being of customers, staff and the public being our primary concern. The situation is fast moving and ever changing, however we would like to offer reassurance that we are doing everything within our power to ensure our business continues to function as safely and productively as possible, in order to meet the needs of our customers.

Social distancing:

Several measures have already been introduced in accordance with government and NHS/WHO guidelines. A period of social distancing has been adopted whereby Scotmin Nutrition sales personnel will only be permitted to visit customers by prior appointment. We have encouraged our sales staff and office-based personnel to work from home where possible and conduct their daily business digitally, in an effort to reduce personal contact. On occasions when face to face meetings are necessary, our staff have been advised to conduct all business in the open air and remain a minimum of two metres apart at all times. All staff have been issued with hand sanitisers and have been advised to use these regularly when hot water and antibacterial soap are unavailable.

Supply chain and deliveries:

Our procurement and manufacturing team have been working behind the scenes to ensure that manufacturing continues with as few interruptions as possible. As it stands our supply chain remains intact and our existing stock remains healthy, however due to the complicated nature of the Covid-19 pandemic, restrictions in movement of people and goods could have a disruptive impact on our stocks and ability to manufacture certain products.

All Scotmin drivers have been given special instruction regarding drop off and up-lift, including adopting current government guidelines in relation to social distancing and personal hygiene. All drivers have been issued with hand sanitisers and antibacterial wipes.  Should you or anyone you have been in contact with recently experienced symptoms of Covid-19, then we ask that this is reported to us before we arrange drop off, in order that we can carry out the appropriate risk assessments.

Future updates:

We will continue to monitor the situation and hold daily meetings to discuss and approve the best course of action. Any fundamental changes that might affect the business will be communicated through our website and social media channels. Should you have any questions then please feel free to contact us on 01292 280 909 or email info@scotmin.com
