Incorporating three businesses located throughout the United Kingdom, Scotmin Nutrition, Caltech Crystalyx, and Animax.

 

About the job

We are seeking a Marketing Manager to join our team. The position is ideally suited to an individual who has experience in marketing and has worked within the agriculture sector. The role provides a link between marketing, technical, production, and sales, promoting USP’s, research, and technical backup on an extensive product portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, developing, and analysing effective marketing campaigns using both traditional and digital marketing techniques. The position requires partnering cross-functionally to coordinate marketing communications, campaigns, and events with our sales teams and merchant partners to generate enhanced brand visibility, lead generation, and sales.

 

Location

Based primarily at Scotmin Nutrition, Ayr, the ideal candidate will work alongside our Graphic Designer & Video Producer and report to Carrs Agriculture Head of Marketing.

Travel will be required between our sites therefore a valid driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Carrs Agriculture marketing department, liaising with key stakeholders, managing projects, and ensuring that creatives are delivered on time and to the standards set by the business.
  • Utilise customer insights and market segmentation tools to create and develop marketing strategies to get the word out about our company and drive improved customer engagement, brand loyalty and sales.
  • Research product and market conditions to allow for effective change.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing, Commercial and Technical teams to help develop products and services that can be tendered to prospective distributors.
  • Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own implementation from ideation to execution.
  • Work with the marketing team to align strategies in accordance with pricing whilst maximizing profits and market share.
  • Nurture third-party relationships with our digital and PR partners, effectively conveying ideas to ensure the consistency of messaging and product positioning.
  • Manage Carrs Agriculture brand websites with updates and edits, assist with blog content, and enhance SEO.
  • Prepare and present quarterly and annual reports to senior management using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Publisher.
  • Plan, create & schedule social media content for all platforms, generate new business leads through engaging lead generation campaigns and monitor social media engagement across all platforms.
  • Research and adapt to the ever-evolving marketing landscape by remaining up to date with the latest strategies and trends.
  • Build strong, trusted, relationships with COO, Commercial Director and CEO
  • Recognise the importance and responsibilities of this role in supporting the delivery of world-class Feed Safety for the business.

 

What you need for the role

  • An understanding of agriculture and ruminant nutrition.
  • Experience of executing digital marketing campaigns, including the use of digital content, email and text broadcasting, SEO, social media, paid search and retargeting tactics.
  • G4A (Google Analytics) understanding.
  • Digital marketing experience.
  • Marketing strategy, development and execution.
  • Excellent written (editorial level) and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills and report planning using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Publisher.
  • Great analytical skills and experience in interpreting data and trends to help drive marketing decisions.
  • Experience working with design agencies, web developers, and PR consultants.
  • Proven organisational, project management skills and experience in managing a variety of projects.
  • Events planning and organisation

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing
  • 3+ years’ experience working in agriculture
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
