Many supplement manufacturers work to a least cost formulation,  but Scotmin consider it more important to use the best available raw materials at levels required by the animal.  We source only the highest quality and bio available raw materials, two thirds of which are shipped into the Port of Ayr, close to our production site, saving in excess of 100,000 road miles every year.

Scotmin use only AGMA FG85 Calcined Magnesite, the leading magnesium source on the market.  With high magnesium content and bioavailability (as demonstrated in studies by Glasgow University), the very consistent particle size found in AGMA is the single most important factor influencing magnesium availability.

Both our dicalcium and magnesium phosphates are supplied by Aliphos Windmill production, part of the Tessenderlo group who have strict quality policies allowing these products to be accredited to the CEFIC standard.  Chosen for consistently high purity, these materials have superior biological value to most of the phosphorus sources on the market.
